Floods displace hundreds of people in Kudus

Kudus (Antaranews Jateng) - Floods have hit Jati Sub-district, Kudus District, Central Java, and displaced 238 local residents.
The residents of Jati had evacuated to higher ground since Friday evening (Feb 16), as floodwaters continued to rise," Suyitno, the village head of Jati Wetan, stated here, Monday.
The village has been flooded over the last 12 days, according to Wetan.
The local disaster mitigation office has set up a public kitchen and emergency tents for the flood victims.
Four schools were also submerged in the floods triggered by heavy rains.
