Foreign Affair Ministry confirms 122 Indonesians overseas contracted COVID-19

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed that the COVID-19 virus had infected 122 Indonesian citizens (WNI) in several foreign countries, with 13 people having recovered as of Monday morning (Mar 30).
The largest number of Indonesian citizens having tested positive for COVID-19 were in Singapore, totaling 34 cases, the ministry had tweeted on its official Twitter account here on Monday.

Of the 34 cases in Singapore, 28 people were in stable condition, two were receiving special treatment, three had recovered, and one had died.
The second-highest number of cases were reported in Malaysia, totaling 24, and all were in stable condition.
Other coronavirus-infected Indonesians overseas comprised 14 in India, nine in Japan, six in Saudi Arabia, five in the Vatican, and four Indonesian crew members of the Costa Luminosa cruise ship in Italy.

In the meantime, three Indonesian citizens had got infected in the Netherlands, of which one was declared cured, while the condition of the two is stable.
Of the three other Indonesian citizens that had contracted the virus in Spain, one died, while two others were in stable condition.
Three Indonesians each had contracted the virus in Taiwan, China, and Brunei Darussalam.

Two Indonesians each in Cambodia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Qatar had got infected with COVID-19.
One Indonesian had died of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom, while Ireland, the Philippines, and Macau, China, each had one coronavirus-positive Indonesian national.
The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia continued to increase and reached 1,285 as of Sunday, with 64 patients having recovered and 114 dying of the disease, the government spokesman for COVID-19 handling Achmad Yurianto confirmed.
"The 130 new cases bring the total figure to 1,285. The increased number of confirmed cases shows that transmission among members of the public has continued," Yurianto had noted here on Sunday.
