Warsinem (33) was recruited by PT Amri Brothers and left for Saudi Arabia in 1993 after a few months she was married to Suhadi, her mother Salinem said.
"I have not heard from my daughter in the past seven years," the 67 old widow said here on Monday.
Normally she sent letter and money regularly to her mother in the village of Derik, Banjarnagera.
The last money she sent to her mother was Rp6.3 million in 2003 and her last letter was sent to her aunt Darsem in nearby village of Karangjati.
"It was not normal that she sent a letter to her aunt instead of to me" Salinem said.
In her letter she told her aunt that she was often treated roughly by her employer and that she just recovered from an illness after being hospitalized for four months.
That was why she did not sent money that time, Salinem said
Warsinem told her aunt not to tell her mother about her suffering under her cruel employer.
Her aunt once talked to Warsinem by phone , but later she could no longer be contacted via the same telephone number.
Meanwhile, Warsinem's husband Suhadi died a year later after she was left by Warsinem.
Warsinem gave no clear address of her employer . In her letter she gave only a name with unclear address , Radhi Ali Husen Al Atiyah, PO Box 30131 Alhasa, Ashakeeka 3192 KSA.
Derik village chief Didik Sunaryo said he reported Warsinem's case to the Banjarnegara regent and district legislative assembly in 2006, but no answer was forthcoming
"I wanted to contact PT Amri Brothers for information but we could not find the number of the company," Didik said.
Warsinem's younger sister , Yuliati (20), said an official of the National Body for Workers' Recruitment and Protection said it was trying to find out the whereabouts of Warsinem in Saudi Arabia.
