Semarang, C Java, Aug 26 (Antara) - Sophisticated equipment has been installed at the Semarang Regional General Hospital (RSUD Semarang) in Central Java, so people would no longer need to go abroad for medical treatment, stated Semarang Deputy Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu.

While reviewing the Gatotkaca Private Wings Pavilion of the RSUD Semarang on Friday, Rahayu revealed that the hospital had at least five surgery rooms based on the "digital operation theater design" and advanced equipment based on information technology.

She said the use of "digital operation theater design" technology at RSUD Semarang is the first of its kind in Indonesia and is at par with those in Singapore as it is supported by professional human resources.

According to Rahayu, the RSUD Semarang also offers pavilion facilities similar to the Garuda Pavilion at the Dr Karyadi Central Hospital in Semarang City.
