Bank Jateng Set Profit Target At Rp1.58 Trillion

Semarang, ANTARA JATENG - Bank Jateng, which is a bank owned by the Central Java administration, has set a target for net profit for this year at Rp1.58 trillion or an increase of 17.29 percent from Rp1.34 trillion in 2016.
"Given the performance in the first six months of this year with profit at Rp858.83 billion, the target would not be too difficult," Operational Director of the bank Hanawijaya said here on Tuesday.
Hanawijaya said the profit in the first six months of the year was 17.43 percent higher than in the same period last year. Based on data at Bank Jateng, its profit in the first six months of 2016 was Rp731.36 billion.
The performance of the bank was also reflected by the position of its assets. Its assets rose 22.32 percent year-on-year to Rp61.8 trillion by June 2017
The third party funds its held increased 18.33 percent to Rp50.80 trillion. Hanawijaya said most or Rp27 trillion of the third party funds are cheap fund - giro and savings.
Its outstanding credits rose 18.33 percent to Rp39.14 trillion by June 2017 and 73 percent of the credits were for consumer sector and the rest for productive sector, he said.
He said the bank management predicted that the assets would increase to Rp59.968 trillion by the end of this year or 17 percent larger than Rp51.255 trillion a year earlier, outstanding credit rose 19.88 percent from Rp36.16 trillion to Rp43.35 trillion, third party funds rose 24.19 percent from Rp38 trillion to Rp47.25 trillion.
Meanwhile, its non performing loan (NPL) rose slightly from 1.45 percent by the end of last year to 1.61 percent by the end of June, 2017.
