Rio's spokesman Endah Dwi Ekowati in an e-mail received by ANTARA here on Saturday evening said Rio reached the finish line in 41 minutes, 36.701 seconds or 20.425 seconds after the winner.

With the results totally the racer grouped in he Marussia Carlin team collected 16 points and was ranked 10th from the three series of GP2 Series he has so far participated in.

In the first series at Sepang, Malaysia, recently Rio collected two points and in the second series in Bahrain added two more points while in the third series also in Bahrain collected 12 more namely eight from the first and four from the second race.

His fellow team member Max Chilton from Britain meanwhile was sent to the 13th position clocking 42 minuets, 03.019 seconds or 46.743 seconds behind the winner.

The winner in the second race of the third series was from Rapax team namely T Dillman clocking 41 minutes, 16.276 seconds while the runner-up was L Razia from the Arden International team from Brazil recording 41 minutes, 16.474 seconds.

Italian racer from the DAMS team that has won champion GP2 titles several times Davide Valsecchi had to be satisfied in the third with a record of 41 minutes, 20.234 seconds while racer from Lotus GP team from Mexico, Esteban Gutierrez, was placed fourth with 41 minutes, 32.764 seconds.

Three racers namely S Trumer from Arden International, D Clos from Barwa Addex Team and his fellow team member J Cecotto failed to reach the finish line.

The second race of the third series of GP2 Series car racing in Bahrain takes 23 laps totaling 124.475 kilometers.

Rio Haryanto after the race said the race was the most challenging in GP2 for because he got challenges from temporary ranking leaders Davide Valsecchi and Esteban Gurrierez in it.

"It was difficult for me to fight them because I also had to think of safeguarding the tire conditions so that they could last until the end of the race," he said.

"I have learned more about racing in GP2. Hopefully in the next series I could perform better," the 19 year old racer said.

The fourth series of the GP2 Series is scheduled in Barcelone, Spain, on May 11-13.
