"In Banyumas and Cilacap districts for example, the food security is very good with rice stock can reach more than 50,000 tons," Agung said during his Ramadan Safari in Purwokerto, Banyumas district.

The minister is in his Ramadan safari to visit the districts of Cilacap and Banyumas.

Asked about financial assistance of Rp400 billion to Cilacap, the minister said the funds included school operation assistance (BOS), national program for people's empowerment (PNPM), and assistance from the community through the Ministry of People's Welfare.

"PNPM is a national program for people's empowerment both in rural and urban areas in all districts across the country," Agung said, adding that the maximum amount of the PNPM for every sub-district was Rp3 billion but for Cilacap it was less than Rp2 billion.

But Agung said that it would be reviewed by the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation (TNP2K) which was chaired by Vice President Boediono.

"The sub-districts with many poor community can get Rp3 billion from the PNPM program," Agung said, adding that national poverty rate was 11.96 percent that was made up of 29.1 million poor and very poor people.
