Rescuers Find Bodies Of All Purworejo Landslide Victims

Head of Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) office in Purworejo, Budi Harjono said all of the victims were seven residents who were found dead by rescuers.

The bodies of Amat Saringat, Fitri, Sumini, Rahman and Suprapti were found on Saturday (Feb 6) and two others, namely Salimah and Triyanto were discovered on the second day on Sunday.

"The two victims's bodies were discovered after rescue workers used heavy equipment," Budi said.

Heavy rain pouring on Purworejo District on Friday until late at night triggered a landslide that buried two houses in the village.
