"If Kalla has a chance to run for president in the upcoming election, let him use other party without being allowed to use the attributes and facilities of Golkar Party," Agung said here on Saturday evening.

But he expressed hope that Kalla, the former vice president, could give good examples as a senior cadre of Golkar.

Asked if there was rift within the party following Kalla's plan to run for president, Agung said: "It is the internal dynamic of Golkar Party and there is no division."
According to him, the internal dynamic was limited to discussions but it did not lead to splits.

"The situation might be a little warm, but in reality the presidential candidacy of Golkar's general chairman Aburizal Bakrie is final," Agung noted.

The candidacy of Aburizal, whose reputation had been badly dented by legal cases involving his companies, has been opposed by a number of party regional leaders.

One of the party's most influential leaders Akbar Tanjung has said Aburizal should settle the case of Lapindo mud floods that had left many people homeless in Sidoarjo, East Java.

The case has remained an unsolved and still a national issue for the past several years.
