Govt toBuild 20 Pilot Project Markets

"Last year we had ten pilot project markets, two of which were built in Central Java, namely in Klaten and Purworejo districts," he said here on Friday.

According to the minister, this year the government developed again 20 pilot project markets, which are expected to serve as models for other markets in Indonesia.

On the occasion, the minister also noted that his ministry had made Rp400 billion available for traditional market renovation programs. Some of the funds are used to build the 20 pilot project markets.

Wirjawan said stakeholders of the markets would get training to increase their capability and knowledge.
